Beautiful North6 Project

Our North6 Project came to us with a bit of a challenge. To create a cohesive design that would marry this Antique Style Cape to their new addition. While also incorporating the clients personal style of coastal comfortable. As a coastal girl herself Designer Tena Collyer knew exactly how to execute this project. She incorporated the timeless white kitchen with pops of sea glass colors. To do this Tena used Omega Cabinetry in Pure White and then created that custom look with an island in Dove. She tied it all together with antique lanterns above the island by Visual Comfort Co.

Wordell Remodel

We had such a great time working with our Wordell client on her kitchen and bath remodel in Somerset, MA. She came to us with a vision and we turned it into a reality.  Check out her review on Houzz describing her experience:

"We highly recommend K & B Details.. Tena and Jill each brought their own expertise to our kitchen and bath remodel. The process from our first meeting through to completion was outstanding. What amazed us was how they became part of our team. When we weren't sure of something they were right there to help. When you decide to hire this company, the point of sale is the beginning of your partnership with them not the end. They are professional, talented, and compassionate, putting the client first , and getting the job done. We LOVE our kitchen and bath! Thanks for everything :)"

Here are some photos showing off some beautiful Plain & Fancy Cabinetry and Wolf Appliances!

Habor Beach Summer Cottage

Our Harbor Beach Summer Cottage remodel is complete! Our clients completed a full rehab of their summer cottage over the winter. We wish we had 'before' photos, but the home was already gutted by the time we were called in to start our part of the job.

Our clients were thrilled with the outcome! Here is a nice review they wrote for us on Houzz:

'We have a small cottage that still had the original kitchen from the 1950’s. We made the decision to make updates and hired Kitchen & Bath Details to do our kitchen. They did not disappoint! The kitchen is now done and is fabulous.

From the start, both Tena and Jill were extremely professional and helpful, making suggestions and steering us in the right direction on the kitchen design. There was a lot we wanted to include in a relatively small space and they were able to create the perfect design that made efficient use of the space while still incorporating all of our needs and wants.

In addition, Tena and Jill connected us to the right appliance and stone vendors and they followed through to make sure the install and final outcome was perfect. We had a small glitch in the install of the Quartz countertop and Jill worked with the stone vendor to make sure the issue was fixed quickly. Tena and Jill made sure every “i” was dotted and every “t” crossed.
We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen and the service provided by Kitchen & Bath Details and would highly recommend their services – Thanks Tena and Jill!!'

Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired KITCHEN Renovation

Our Wright Inspired Reno clients approached us with a fun challenge.  We were asked to design a “unique” space that would fit with their home’s Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.  We decided to move away from the dated oak wood for the cabinetry and selected maple in a warm honey stain, which coordinated well with the wood trim throughout the home.

In a great effort to be green, our clients wanted to reuse their tile floor, the majority of their existing appliances, as well as the white Corian countertops, which were in great condition.  With the tile floor remaining the same, we were locked into the exiting footprint of the kitchen area.

We added in fun “Wright” style details throughout the design and our clients love the end result!

Decorative Hardware Trends for 2015

One of our favorite parts of design has to be the accessories… and cabinet hardware can truly change the look of any space.  It’s like jewelry for your cabinets!  We have a fantastic selection of all different types of knobs and pulls at our Mattapoisett showroom.

At the start of each year, our hardware companies delight us by introducing brand new collections and designs.  It’s definitely not just about metals anymore!

Here are some of our new colorful favorites for 2015!

Emtek makes some of our absolute favorite crystal knobs.  They make a range of styles that fit so many tastes from traditional to modern.  This year they’ve rolled out COLOR crystal knobs!!  These jewel-like pieces are sure to transform any room in your home!

Kitchen Remodeling does NOT have to be a Nightmare!

kbdetailssocoarticle

After reading the article titled 'The Nightmare of Kitchen Remodeling' in the February 2015 issue of SoCo Magazine, you may feel a little unsure or afraid of moving forward with a long awaited kitchen remodel. Don't be!

We were very flattered to be selected by SoCo magazine as the professionals with the right approach to the renovating process.  When they interviewed us, the most important thing we wanted to let the consumer know is that it does NOT have to be a nightmare! By taking extra steps and only hiring contractor/tradesmen we trust, things can actually run pretty smooth. Yes, you will be inconvenienced as the most important room in your home is missing... BUT if you are prepared for this, it really won't be the end of the world. Our team knows first hand what it is like to go through this (one of us being 8 months pregnant!) and we always share our tips and tricks on how to survive.

When you begin the process, you will start to understand how much is involved and how easy it is for things to fall through the cracks. This is where we come in. Our job is to minimize and head off any potential snags that may arise during your renovation. This service is what sets us apart from the big box stores and lumber yards. We take a lot of time to hand select contractors/tradespeople to work on our projects, as our design and hard work is only as good as the installers and subcontractor that are hired to complete the work. With that said, it is important to understand that no job is ever perfect. The important thing to know is that we pride ourselves in working very hard to maintain an organized schedule, solve any issues that may arise in a timely manner, and stay in constant communication with the contractors/tradespeople on the job. We provide extremely detailed diagrams for ease of installation and to avoid a complete guessing game on the contractors part. Kitchens (especially detailed ones) are gigantic puzzles that need to be assembled and the last thing our client needs is a frustrated contractor guessing where everything fits together. We're there to guide everyone through the process and make it as stress free as possible!

We hope this helps you understand that the process doesn't have to be a nightmare! We will leave you with this letter from a recent client:

"The Details team was there through the whole installation insuring that everything went as planned and eliminating any potential problems.  They were so supportive and cheered us on to the finish line. The whole process went so smoothly.  It speaks to your knowledge, attention to detail and how much you care about your customers.  I would have no hesitation in recommending the Kitchen and Bath Details team to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen."
